Therapeutic Support
We provide support to students in a range social contexts, but most commonly within their education setting. Providing support in this way allows students coaching within their social setting, and also increases the opportunity for the student to generalise skills in other settings.
Consultancy & Mentoring
Would your school benefit from generalised coaching, mentoring and support with best-practice inclusive approaches to their teaching of students with autism?
Karen Penney is an accredited provider of the Cool Kids Program - a structured 10 session program run over a minimum of 10 weeks that teaches children and their parents how to better manage a child’s anxiety.
Capacity Building for Families
At Autism Outreach Services we provide tailored support to your family, in the way you wish for it to be delivered. We can provide in-home specialised support and realistic strategies to improve everyone’s quality of life.
Post Diagnosis Support
Has your child just been recently diagnosed with Autism and you are feeling overwhelmed with questions and ‘where to from here?' We can meet with you in your home (if you are comfortable) to discuss your needs, and then at your child’s school (kindergarten through to high school).
Social Skills Groups
Many children and adults with autism need help in learning how to respond and be included in social situations. They often have the desire to interact with others, but may not have the skills to engage friends or may be overwhelmed when faced with new situations or settings.
Assessments
As an experienced Developmental Educators, we are skilled in providing numerous assessments which can help guide your therapy and provide you with support in NDIS requests.
